The works will an existing water course that flows into the river Nene from the application site. This widening, with the addition of a sheet piled dock wall on two sides with a pontoon secured to rails and a hinged brow, will allow pedestrian access to a moored boat at different stages of river level.

The design utilises an existing water course that flows into the River Nene and has been informed by ecological and arboricultural consultants. This ensures minimum impact on the existing river and its east bank.
