Background - BREEAM is the world's most widely used measure to describe a building's environmental performance. - It is used for non-domestic buildings.- Overall scores ranging from Pass to Outstanding are gained through credits in nine environmental categories
Why do you need it? - Some Planning Authorities will require a certain BREEAM score for planning permission - It is also a way of demonstrating the sustainable principles of a development for corporate or marketing purposes.
